VOLUNTEER
Become a Mediator
Mid Shore Mediation is dependent on the involvement of volunteer mediators. Our services are provided at no-cost to our participants because mediation should be a service that is accessible to everyone, regardless of income. Our entire community wins when we are able to reduce court involvement and support our neighbors in collaborative conflict resolution. In order to offer mediation free of charge and to serve everyone in our area, we rely on volunteers to host these critical conversations.

As a volunteer mediator, you will support people navigating through some of the most difficult times in their lives. You will provide a private, nonjudgmental space where participants can speak openly and honestly about their situation and facilitate a collaborative process which can create agreements acceptable to all. Conflict is inevitable, how we manage it is what makes the difference. Our volunteers empower people to resolve their conflicts productively, creating the best possible outcomes for individuals, families, and neighborhoods.

Many advanced training opportunities are available to our volunteers in addition to the Basic Mediation Training. Our upcoming training opportunities are listed below!
